Our Alien Edge Premier Fitness Athlete brings you this week’s Lower Body Workout of the Week, designed to build strength, shape, and athletic power while improving overall performance. This session focuses on the glutes, quads, hamstrings, and core—key muscle groups for strength, balance, and explosiveness.
🔥 The Workout

Hip Thrust Machine – 4 sets of 12–15 reps
Targets: Glutes (primary), hamstrings, core
Why it matters: Hip thrusts are one of the most effective movements for glute activation and strength, helping improve posture, power output, and lower-body performance. -
Single-Leg Kickbacks – 4 sets of 12 reps per leg
Targets: Glute maximus and glute medius
Why it matters: Unilateral movements help correct muscle imbalances and enhance hip stability while isolating the glutes for optimal activation. -
Lunges – 4 sets of 12 reps
Targets: Quads, glutes, hamstrings, calves
Why it matters: Lunges build functional strength, improve coordination, and increase lower-body endurance while engaging the core for balance. -
Bulgarian Split Squats – 4 sets of 12 reps per leg
Targets: Quads, glutes, hamstrings, core
Why it matters: This movement challenges single-leg strength, increases mobility, and delivers serious muscle-building stimulus with less load on the spine. -
Stair Machine (Cardio Finisher)
Benefits: Cardiovascular endurance, fat burn, glute and quad activation
Why it matters: Stair climbing elevates heart rate while continuing to target the lower body—perfect for conditioning and calorie burn.
